City of Stow Electric Aggregation Program
New Aggregation Rate Effective April 2026
The City of Stow is pleased to continue offering an Electric Aggregation Program for residents and small businesses. Beginning with April 2026 meter reads, the program will provide a fixed rate of 8.99 cents/kWh for 26 months until the June 2028 meter read.
Opt-Out Letters Sent in February
If you are a current participant or a newly eligible account, you should receive an opt-out letter around February 17, 2026. This letter will explain the new program details and your options.
- No action is required if you wish to continue or begin participation.
- To opt out, return the included opt-out card or call Dynegy at 888-682-2170 within 21 days of receiving the letter.
100% Renewable Energy Option
The program also offers an optional 100% renewable energy rate of 8.99 cents/kWh. If you would like this option, call Dynegy at 888-682-2170 to enroll.
Understanding Your Choices
Participation in the aggregation program is completely voluntary. Other energy supply options include:
- The Public Utility Commission of Ohio offers a list of alternative suppliers at www.energychoice.ohio.gov. Be sure to review contract terms, fees, and renewal policies before making a decision.
- Your utility’s default supply rate, also known as the Price-to-Compare, is a variable rate that changes periodically.
While the aggregation program has helped protect against rising rates in the past, it does not always guarantee the lowest price. We encourage all residents to review their options carefully.
