[ARCHIVED] 2023 Parks and Recreation Annual Report

Cover Page

It is with great pleasure that we present the 2022 Annual Report for the City of Stow Parks & Recreation Department. Last year at this time, I projected that 2022 would be a year of reawakening. And it truly was! We accomplished many great initiatives that will enrich and expand Parks & Recreation in Stow now and for the future.

Throughout 2022, the parks & recreation team of dedicated professionals continued to deliver high-quality programs, events, and services to our residents. As the constraints and impacts of the pandemic slipped away, we were able to realize a more normal year and fully restore the programs and services our community relies on. Getting back to our mission of connecting people through opportunities to recreate, socialize, gather, and play remained our primary focus. Maintaining the mental and physical health of our community has become more important than ever.

We are so fortunate to live, work and play in such a wonderful place as Stow, where leisure comes alive with a myriad of fun activities and events for the whole family. Our team truly cares about the future and sustainability of Parks & Recreation in Stow and will continue to strive for excellence. And, in tandem with our members of the Parks & Recreation Board, we plan to create an even greater sense of community.

In 2023, allow your Parks & Recreation professionals to help you reach your goals, discover new adventures, increase your knowledge, and most of all, have FUN doing it!
