The City of Stow is thrilled to announce the grand opening of the new Stow Community & Senior Center with an exciting Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Sun., January 12, 2025, from 1-4 PM at 5344 Fishcreek Road, Stow, Ohio. 

The newly renovated facility marks a significant milestone in the City’s commitment to providing an enhanced space for fun, active, and social programs that cater to the growing needs of our senior community and beyond. The open house is a celebration of this achievement while providing a welcoming environment perfect for recreation, events, and meetings.

What to Expect:

• Ribbon Cutting at 1:45 PM
• Tours of the new facility including over 8,000 square feet of space, a large Grand Hall room accommodating up to 260 guests, a Media Suite, an Activity Hub, a modern kitchen, and much more
• Light Refreshments catered by The Center in Stow 
• Door Prizes and Giveaways: Enter for a chance to win exciting prizes
• Special Music Performance by the SMF String Orchestra Program
• Magician Jason Alan: Be amazed by a special performance from nationally renowned magician Jason Alan, as seen on Penn & Teller

• Mayor John Pribonic will deliver remarks celebrating this achievement, followed by a ceremonial ribbon cutting to officially open the new center.

The facility, formerly the Cornerstone Church, represents a significant upgrade from the previous senior center, with its single-level design, ample parking, and a welcoming environment perfect for recreation, events, and meetings. Its acquisition and transformation address the need for a dedicated community space while avoiding the financial strain of a larger recreation center levy.

PARKING:  Due to limited parking spots availability at the Stow Community & Senior Center, a shuttle service will be provided for the Grand Opening event on Sun., January 12, 2025.   Additional parking is accessible at Fishcreek Elementary - 5080 Fishcreek Rd., Stow.

The doors to the Community & Senior Center will open at 1 PM.
