The City of Stow Amphitheater — affectionately known as The AMP — is a vibrant outdoor performance space located in the heart of Stow, Ohio. This visually striking amphitheater accommodates more than 2,000 guests and serves as a premier destination for live music, community gatherings, and special events throughout the year.

Nestled at 1680 Norton Road, The AMP is part of a revitalized plaza that has become a cornerstone of Stow’s growing entertainment district. Designed with both comfort and connection in mind, the venue features an expansive lawn, modern amenities, and exceptional acoustics — creating the perfect setting for memorable evenings under the stars.

MAIN PERFORMANCE STAGE

Permanent Covered Structure that provides year-round protection for performers. Spacious, with a 70’ x 30’ layout to accommodate a wide range of performances. The stage is optimized for acoustics, sound, and professional lighting which makes it a versatile venue – ideal for both local talent and large-scale performances. The quality construction – steel frame with architectural wood-and-metal canopy provides durability and style.

LAWN SEATING at THE AMP

The AMP’s gently sloped lawn offers a comfortable, relaxed viewing experience with excellent visibility from nearly every spot. Guests can spread out, bring their favorite lawn chairs or blankets, and enjoy live performances in an open-air, park-like setting. The natural incline of the lawn creates clear sightlines to the stage, so there’s truly not a bad seat in the house. Whether you're relaxing with family, dancing with friends, or enjoying a summer evening under the stars, lawn seating at The AMP blends comfort, community, and atmosphere.

SECONDARY STAGE - Intimate Performance Space

A cozy setting designed for small-scale performances, readings, and interactive presentations provides for versatile uses. Perfect for storytelling, educational talks, and unique experiences (imagine meeting zoo animals up close!) Small audiences will have a close connection, creating a personal, engaging atmosphere between performers and audience.

FIREPITS - Warm & Cozy Ambience

These permanent built-in amenities create social gathering zones, providing warmth, and making the amphitheater enjoyable in cooler evenings and during spring/fall, extending the entertainment season. Rentable during special events with seating for 6-8. The firepits are timer-controlled and gas powered.

CONCESSIONS / BIER GARDEN

No need to pack a picnic! Our concession area offers a variety of delicious snacks and drinks to keep you energized throughout the show. More than just a place to grab a drink, it is a vibrant gathering spot for connection, conversation, and community. Featuring local fan favorites, it adds a refreshing twist to your amphitheater experience.

DORA (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area)

The creation of a DORA creates a vibrant local atmosphere to support local businesses, entertainment and tourism. Patrons may purchase alcoholic beverages in specially marked, logo branded plastic cups from participating businesses in the DORA zone (bars, restaurants, breweries, and the AMP concession, etc.) Patrons can walk around within the DORA boundaries with their drinks but cannot take them outside the DORA zone or bring in outside alcohol. TRAIL SPUR/ CONNECTOR - Hike & Bike Access

Improves Access, providing a direct, safe route for walkers, runners, and cyclists. This reduces parking strain: Attendees may arrive by trail instead of car. This amenity also encourages healthy lifestyles and supports walking and biking as part of event-going. It also builds community integration, linking recreation, culture, and events into one experience, while promoting eco-friendly, multi-modal transportation. (Map of Trail Spur coming soon)

INDOOR RESTROOMS - Accessible Family Restrooms

Clean, modern facilities designed for guest comfort. The restrooms at the AMP are private, accessible spaces to meet the needs of families & caregivers. Changing stations are conveniently located for ease of accessibility. Portable restrooms may be added for special events.

PUBLIC ART - Creating a Stronger Sense of Place

The addition of public art at the AMP creates a signature identity for The Amp, while engaging local artists and community pride. Public Art also provides Instagrammable/photo-worthy spots that boost community engagement and enhance aesthetic quality beyond just function.

SWING GARDEN – Charming & Comfortable

A beautifully crafted pergola with swings suspended beneath, nestled in a serene, garden-like area adjacent to, yet inside, the amphitheater, blends relaxation with architectural elegance. The Swing Garden provides a place to pause and encourages guests to slow down, unwind, and enjoy the surroundings.
