Dear Community Members,

As summer unfolds in Stow, I’m excited to share some updates and highlights that reflect the energy, growth, and strong community spirit we continue to build together.

Investing in Our Community:
We remain focused on enhancing the quality of life for all who live, work, and play in Stow. Significant investments are underway in our parks, infrastructure, and neighborhoods:

  • The AMP – Stow Amphitheater Project: Exciting plans are underway for The Amp, Stow’s future outdoor performance venue designed for concerts, culture, and connection. While construction has not yet begun, this project will serve as more than just a gathering space—it will be a catalyst for local vibrancy, a source of civic pride, and a stage for what’s next in our community. Stay tuned—groundbreaking ceremony coming soon!

  • Roads & Sidewalks: Road resurfacing and sidewalk repair projects are in full swing throughout the city. These improvements will create safer, smoother routes for motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians alike—and strengthen neighborhood connections.

  • Stormwater Infrastructure: Important storm sewer improvements are underway to increase system capacity, reduce flooding risks, and protect homes and businesses from heavy rain events. These efforts are part of our long-term plan to ensure reliable, resilient infrastructure.

Celebrating Summer in Stow:
Summer is a time to come together—and Stow is buzzing with community events that celebrate connection, creativity, and fun!

  • Concerts on the Green - Now with a Kid-Friendly Twist! Join us August 8 for The Shazzbots!—a high-energy, family-friendly band that’s all about fun, music, and imagination. We’re adding extra activities just for little ones—so bring a blanket and enjoy a summer evening full of music and memories!

  • Our Pop Up in the Parks continue to bring spontaneous fun to neighborhoods across Stow, with games, treats, giveaways, and surprise guests. Next up: August 12 at Oregon Trail Park—a perfect night out for the whole family!

  • Stow Summer Sunset Blast, now in its 18th year, returns with two days of music, food trucks, Touch-a Truck, inflatables, a petting zoo, and—of course—a spectacular Grand Finale Fireworks Show. Don’t miss this end-of-summer tradition!

These events aren’t just fun—they’re the heartbeat of our community, building memories and connections that last far beyond the season.

Looking Ahead:
Our shared vision for Stow is one of continued progress, opportunity, and unity. Your involvement, ideas, and enthusiasm make all the difference. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together—and even more excited for what lies ahead.

Thank you for being part of it.

Warm regards,

John Pribonic
