Dear Stow Residents,

I’m excited to share that the City of Stow has a number of exciting initiatives and events taking place this summer as we continue to build a strong, connected, and vibrant community.

As part of our annual Celebrate Stow Week, we’ve planned a variety of fun, family-friendly events designed to bring people together and celebrate the spirit of our city.

A standout event this year was the Second Annual Stow Paddle Battle Pickleball Tournament, which took place at the new Oregon Trail Pickleball Complex over this past weekend. This fast-paced, high-energy tournament benefited the Stow-Munroe Falls High School Speech and Debate Team, and we were there to cheer on all the participants.

The Stow Arts Commission is once again inviting residents to get creative with “Chalk Up Stow.” Families and individuals are encouraged to chalk up their sidewalks and driveways with original artwork, then share photos online using #FunInStow, #ChalkUpStow, and #ArtsInStow. Prizes will be awarded, so let your creativity shine!

We’re also excited to introduce the new Story Walk, presented by the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library, located along the scenic trail in the Sancturetum at our City Center Complex. Please join us and the library for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the inaugural walk on Wednesday, July 2, at 5:30 PM. Immediately following, head over to our Concert on the Green at 6:00 PM, featuring live music from The Cover Band, food trucks, and sweet summer treats.

Beloved traditions continue as well, including the Firecracker Run and Fourth of July Parade on Friday, July 4!

This year, I’m proud to announce that our Fourth of July Parade Grand Marshal is the Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce, in celebration of its 60th anniversary. The parade theme, “Celebrating 60 Years of Commerce & Community: Honoring Our Past, Building Our Future,” is a tribute to the Chamber’s longstanding dedication to fostering growth, connection, and opportunity in Stow.

On the infrastructure front, we continue making meaningful progress with several major projects, including the Crossroads Project, the Amphitheater Project, ongoing sidewalk construction, and the Stow Zoning Code Update.

Looking ahead, my priorities remain clear: advancing public safety, supporting business growth and economic development, and listening closely to the needs of our residents. By working together and supporting one another, I’m confident we will continue to make Stow an even better place to live, work, and play.

As always, I welcome your ideas, feedback, and involvement—and I look forward to connecting with many of you throughout this exciting summer season.

Warm Regards,

John Pribonic
Mayor, City of Stow
