Stow, Ohio, May 12, 2023 (9:45 AM) – The City of Stow’s boil water advisory for an affected area of the city has now been lifted. Wednesday, May 10, 2023, the City issued a boil water advisory for an affected area of Stow following a water main break in that area. Water testing completed over the past 24 hours has confirmed the drinking water is safe. EPA regulations require the City to perform testing over a 24 hour period to ensure that the drinking water is safe before a precautionary boil water advisory can be lifted. Customers are no longer required to boil their drinking water or take any special precautions. Water is safe to consume and can be used normally.
Construction to repair Fishcreek Road at the site of the water main break is complete. Planned ongoing construction of the Fishcreek/Graham intersection will resume.
