The City of Stow has experienced a water main break at Fishcreek/Graham roads on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. A boil alert advisory has been issued in this area. Avoid the area while traveling.
FOR THE AREAS HIGHLIGHTED, DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST. Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.
The water main break has been isolated and is currently under repair.
An announcement will be made when the boil alert has been suspended and boiling water is no longer required. Bacteria testing routinely takes 24 hours from time of sampling for results.
