The City of Stow officially broke ground on its new outdoor performance venue, the Stow Amphitheater, during a community celebration held on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
The event, Dig Into The AMP, marked the first in the City’s “Building the Beat” pop-up series and brought residents together to celebrate the start of construction on a project that will serve as a future hub for live music, events, and community gatherings.
Mayor John Pribonic led the ceremonial groundbreaking, commemorating this exciting milestone for the City. Community members of all ages attended the event, enjoying interactive activities including a Touch-a-Truck experience featuring construction vehicles, photo opportunities, and giveaways such as kid-sized hard hats.
The Stow Amphitheater is envisioned as a dynamic venue that will host a variety of performances, programs, and special events—enhancing the City’s parks and recreation offerings while creating a central gathering place for residents and visitors alike.
The City of Stow extends its sincere thanks to everyone who attended and helped make the event a success, as well as to Smilyn Photography for capturing the day’s special moments.
The City would also like to recognize the individuals and groups in attendance who have helped bring this project to life:
As construction begins, the community is invited to follow along and participate in future Building the Beat pop-up events leading up to the amphitheater’s completion.
